In an exciting Premier League match at Craven Cottage, Liverpool defeated Fulham 3-1 to win the match. Liverpool's talent eventually showed through as they took all three points to draw level with league leaders Arsenal, despite a strong effort from Fulham.

Fulham:

Andreas Pereira scored a brace as Fulham defeated West Ham 2-0 at London Stadium to snap a three-game losing streak in the Premier League. Even though the Cottagers won easily and had an xG (expected goals) of 3.29 from their 18 shots, Marco Silva will be happy that his team has now secured their spot in the top division with five games remaining. With 33 games played, Fulham has amassed 42 points, good for 12th place, 17 points clear of the relegation zone, and only two points behind Brighton, who are in 10th place and have a game remaining. After winning nine, drawing one, and losing six of their games at Craven Cottage, the hosts will be looking for another victory at home to increase their hopes of finishing in the top half.

Liverpool:

After losing to Atalanta in the Europa League midweek, Liverpool will concentrate all of their efforts on winning the Premier League in Jurgen Klopp's final season as manager. The Reds needed to pull off an incredible comeback to survive in the competition after losing the first leg of their quarterfinal 3-0 at Anfield. However, they were eliminated 3-1 on the total after winning just 1-0. The Eagles' 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace in the league was the result of a lacklustre performance, with Eberechi Eze scoring the lone goal for the team. The Reds lost a league game at Anfield for the first time in 28 games as a result of their remarkable wastefulness in front of goal, generating an xG of 2.81 without scoring, and falling behind Manchester City in the standings. But, Liverpool can go back above their championship rivals and into second position with a win, level on points with leaders Arsenal, with Citizens playing in the FA Cup yesterday.
