First Half Drama: Isak's Penalty and Wood's Swift Reply

Both sides entered the game looking for revenge, but in the twenty-third minute, Newcastle took the lead. Miley found Isak with a deft throughball, and Aina hauled him down in the box. With calm poise, Isak took the penalty and scored to give Newcastle the lead. Happiness did not last long, though, as Forest countered devastatingly in stoppage time. Elanga squared the ball to Wood, who was not in the markings, and Wood tapped into the open net to tie the game at one.

The score was 1-1 at the end of the first half. Wood's opportunistic finish offset Isak's superb penalty, setting up an exciting second half. Newcastle had the advantage in possession, but Forest showed excellent counterattacking skills.

Wood's Brilliance Unleashed: A Second-Half Hat-Trick

Forest took the lead in the second half. Wood scored again in the 53rd minute, capping an incredible comeback. Wood turned Burn inside out with a fantastic display of composure after Elanga's accurate throughball found him. Wood then lifted the pass past Dubravka to take a 2-1 lead. When Wood completed his hat-trick in the 60th minute, Forest's hope was still alive. Murillo's long ball took the Newcastle defence by surprise, and Wood scored the game's third goal with amazing timing as he ducked under Dubravka and into the empty net.

Forest's defence remained strong in the face of Newcastle's relentless efforts. Turner denied Gordon and Isak with vital stops. With a decisive 3-1 victory, Nottingham Forest ended their seven-game losing streak at the final whistle. Newcastle's home crowd was disappointed since it was their sixth loss in their last seven games.

Nuno's Forest Make a Statement

Nuno Espirito Santo led Nottingham Forest to victory for the first time in his tenure, directing a thrilling triumph at St. James' Park. Chris Wood's bravery, which included a clinical hat-trick to haunt his old team, helped Forest win a crucial victory. With the stadium filled with Newcastle supporters' jeers, Forest celebrated a big victory and moved five points clear of the relegation zone. Newcastle will look to respond in their next match against Liverpool, while the Reds will take this momentum into their match against Manchester United.
