A pivotal Premier League match between Tottenham and Newcastle United was hampered by injuries for both teams. Spurs, who had not won in a long time, wanted to win against Newcastle, who was trying to bounce back from a recent setback. At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the stage was set for an exciting match.

Tottenham:

Due to terrible injury issues that have resulted in testing runs in previous weeks, both clubs enter this game with elevated expectations. This is particularly true for Spurs, who have lost their last five games despite surprising everyone by scoring first in each of those games.

Even though they had a busy schedule, Newcastle had managed their selection problems a little better. However, their late 3-0 loss to Everton on Thursday was similar to their earlier loss to Bournemouth last month, where it appeared like Eddie Howe's team had given up.

First Half: Spurs' Dominance

It was clear from the opening kickoff that injuries would not lessen the intensity. Isak gave Newcastle an early scare as he failed to convert a Gordon cross into a goal. Romero was denied by Almiron, who had to make a vital save off the line, adding to the Magpies' misery.

It was 26 minutes in when the breakthrough came. Spurs took the lead 1-0 when Udogie, on a well-timed run, connected with Son's accurate cross. Son, a steady menace down the left, demonstrated his ability to create plays, which helped set the stage for Udogie's stunning finish.

Tottenham increased their lead by two goals as the half went on. Tormenting Trippier, Son returned the ball to Richarlison, who slotted it past Dubravka with composure. Spurs' dominance was evident in their 2-0 halftime lead, with Son's inventiveness at the core of their potent offensive game.

Second Half: Richarlison Seals the Deal

Early in the second half, Newcastle pushed forward in an attempt to pull off a comeback. Tottenham's counterattacking approach, though, was deadly. Richarlison took advantage of a long ball in the sixtyth minute, sneaking it past Dubravka to make it 3-0. With a precise finish, the Brazilian essentially clinched the deal for Spurs.

Newcastle tried its best, but Tottenham was still a threat. Johnson nearly missed a fourth goal in the 62nd minute with a strong shot that ricocheted off the post. Spurs' unrelenting offensive performance demonstrated their will to win handily.

Son's extraordinary skill won Tottenham a penalty in the eighty-fourth minute. After Dubravka challenged Son, the South Korean skillfully converted a spot-kick to make it 4-0. Even though it appeared the game was over, Newcastle managed to save face during injury time. Joelinton gave the Magpies some solace when he found the net.

Tottenham have ended their winless run, defeating Newcastle 4-1 to end their misery. Son's skill and Udogie and Richarlison's precise finishes demonstrated Spurs' attacking ability. Despite their valiant efforts, Newcastle was unable to overshadow Tottenham's dominant performance with their late consolation.

Spurs are excited about their trip to Nottingham Forest, while Newcastle is facing Milan in a tough Champions League match. The match produced an exciting display that symbolised Tottenham's comeback and highlighted Son's crucial part in their offensive comeback.
