Luton's primary goal after being promoted from the Championship the previous season is to remain in the top division. Arsenal:

First Half: Martinelli and Jesus Shine

Both teams showed intent when the contest began. Arsenal, who were leading the league, took on a fierce Luton team that was focused on winning points that would be essential to their survival. Arsenal took advantage of a defensive blunder by Luton in the 20th minute when Gabriel Jesus set up Bukayo Saka, who skillfully passed the ball to Gabriel Martinelli. With ease, the Brazilian striker put it in the goal to give his team a 1-0 lead.

But Luton answered immediately. After a skillfully handled corner kick by Alfie Doughty, Gabriel Osho headed home in the 25th minute to tie the score at one. With both teams vying for supremacy, the first half was far from done.

After a wonderful exchange of passes between Saka and Ben White, Gabriel Jesus headed the ball into the net in the 45th minute to give Arsenal a 2-1 lead again. Arsenal had just about the little advantage at the end of the half.

Second Half: A Rollercoaster of Goals

More action was anticipated in the second half as Luton made a determined entrance. Elijah Adebayo headed in the equalizer in the 49th minute after Doughty's well-delivered corner found him above the Arsenal defense. The score was now 2-2.

Luton had not finished. Andros Townsend made a critical decision in the 57th minute by passing the ball rather than taking a shot. After receiving the ball, Ross Barkley struck an angled drive that went under the goalkeeper of Arsenal and gave Luton a 3-2 lead.

Arsenal, nevertheless, proved to be resilient. In the 60th minute, under pressure, Gabriel Jesus showed incredible composure and flicked the ball to Kai Havertz, who tied the score at three.

The game intensified as the seconds passed before full time. When it looked like the match would end in a draw in the ninetieth minute, Arsenal pulled off an incredible surprise. Declan Rice outran Osho in the seventh minute of stoppage time and headed in a beautiful cross from Martin Odegaard to give Arsenal a thrilling 4-3 victory.
