First Half - Fast-Paced Action:

The game started off with a lot of excitement, and in the first minute Brentford's goalkeeper Flekken almost gave West Ham an early goal when he stumbled while controlling a back pass.

Neal Maupay's goal in the eleventh minute put Brentford ahead 1-0 as he took advantage of a disorganized play in West Ham's box.

But West Ham rallied quickly, as Mohammed Kudus tied the score at 1-1 with an incredible acrobatic bicycle kick in the 19th minute. That goal was a highlight reel.

Kudus's shot struck the post, and two minutes later, in the 19th minute, Jarrod Bowen punched in a rebound to give West Ham a 2-1 lead. A possible handball prompted a VAR check, but the goal stood.

Despite the fact that both sides had chances, West Ham led 2-1 at the break.

Second Half - Brentford's Comeback:

In the 55th minute, Brentford equalized the score at 2-2 thanks to an own goal by West Ham defender Kontantinos Mavropanos following a short corner play.

Nathan Collins gave Brentford the lead with a strong header in the 69th minute, making the score 3-2. The host's action was excellent.

Both sides kept producing opportunities, with Fornals and Kudus from West Ham coming close. Brentford had chances to increase their lead, but they were not converted.
