Half-Time - Liverpool 2-0 Nottingham Forest:

Liverpool led 2-0 at the break and were well in control of the game. Forest was having difficulty creating opportunities, while Liverpool was controlling territory and possession. Jota's goal was set up by Nunez's parried shot, while Nunez's subsequent goal came from a superb combination featuring Salah and Szoboszlai. With only 25.7% of the play, Forest has not scored a single goal.

Second Half - Liverpool Secures Victory:

Mohamed Salah capitalized on a horrendous error made by Turner in the 77th minute as he miscalculated the bounce of Szoboszlai's ball. With a composed finish, Salah made it 3-0 and cemented Liverpool's win.

First Half - Liverpool Takes Control:

From the beginning, Liverpool controlled the game. Diogo Jota scored the first goal in the 31st minute, pouncing on a rebound after Turner had stopped Mohamed Salah's shot. With the help of a pinpoint cross from Dominik Szoboszlai, Darwin Nunez increased Liverpool's lead to 2-0 four minutes later.

Liverpool kept trying to score a third goal. Turner made an incredible double save to keep Ryan Gravenberch and Szoboszlai out in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Nunez tried a stunning bicycle kick from outside the box, but it went wide.

Late Drama and VAR Decision:

Cody Gakpo appeared to have given Liverpool an additional goal in the closing seconds, bringing the score to 4-0. But Gakpo was offside, thus the goal was disallowed following a VAR check.

Full-Time - Liverpool 3-0 Nottingham Forest:

Liverpool defeated Nottingham Forest with a score of 3-0 to win the game. Salah's goal in the second half sealed the victory, with goals from Nunez and Jota in the first.
